Mesh, the West Chester home of chef Paul Sturkey, fuses restaurant opposites. It is upscale but casual, bustling but relaxing, has a hip urban look though it’s in the suburbs, and can handle anything from a business meeting to late-night clubbing. The look is modern, with lots of contrasting textures in a high-ceilinged, pale-hued dining room. The upscale food often encompass many elements, like the Chilean Sea Bass or the Bone-in Beef Short Ribs 'Tomahawk' (shaved winter truffles with garlic mashed potatoes and golden chanterelle mushrooms). Others, like shrimp penne pasta, are more straightforward.
